I had the privilege of creating digital experience for the GoalEnvision
Project Overview GoalEnvision is an innovative web platform designed to empower individuals and teams in setting, tracking, and achieving personal and professional goals. The platform is built around a data-driven, interactive framework that makes goal-setting more structured and actionable, promoting accountability, progress tracking, and personal growth. The mission of GoalEnvision is to transform abstract ambitions into clear, attainable goals through intuitive design and strategic functionality. Problem Statement Many existing goal-setting platforms lacked a structured process, often overwhelming users with too many options or failing to provide meaningful progress tracking. GoalEnvision aimed to fill this gap by creating a user-friendly platform that would simplify the goal-setting process while providing in-depth tracking and accountability features. Key challenges included: Balancing Complexity and Simplicity by providing advanced features without compromising on ease of use. Ensuring that users would remain engaged with the platform over time. Designing data visualization tools to help users see tangible progress on their goals.
Design Process. Research & Discovery:
I began with extensive user research, interviewing potential users and stakeholders to understand their pain points in current goal-setting methods and tools. I created personas and user journeys based on our findings, identifying key features that would address user needs, such as customizable goal templates, progress trackers, and collaborative goal-setting capabilities.
Ideation & Wireframing:
Based on the insights gathered, I collaborated with the team to sketch and wireframe potential solutions. We explored multiple layouts and flows to optimize usability and engagement. This phase included rapid prototyping in Figma to create low-fidelity wireframes, followed by user feedback sessions to refine our ideas.
High-Fidelity Prototypes & Visual Design:
After selecting the best concepts, I developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, focusing on clean, intuitive design and strong visual hierarchy. The design emphasized simplicity and ease of navigation, with clear calls to action, customizable goal settings, and visually engaging progress indicators.
Accessibility & Responsiveness: To ensure GoalEnvision was accessible to a wide audience, I collaborated closely with developers to address WCAG compliance, including color contrast adjustments, keyboard navigability, and responsive design for mobile and desktop users. Testing & Iteration: I conducted usability tests with real users to identify areas for improvement. Feedback revealed opportunities to simplify the onboarding flow and improve the visibility of goal-tracking features. Using this feedback, I made iterative adjustments, such as refining the dashboard layout and adding tooltips for clarity.
